HUD Sends Letter on 2025 VMS Reporting Deadlines

December 17, 2025 – In a letter dated December 12, 2025, and sent to PHA Executive Directors on December 16, 2025, HUD states the reporting deadlines for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Voucher Management System (VMS). The letter states that meeting these reporting deadlines is important to “. . . ensure the timely and accurate completion of the calendar year end (CYE) 2025 HCV Program cash reconciliations and the development of the 2026 HCV Program renewal funding calculations.”
The deadlines stated in the letter are the following:
- November 2025 cost and leasing data (or any calendar year 2024 prior month corrections) – December 22, 2025; and
- December 2025 cost and leasing data (or any prior month corrections for calendar year 2025) – January 22, 2026.
These deadlines will not be extended, so any questions from a HUD Financial Management Center (FMC) Financial Analyst should be responded to by PHA VMS reporting staff within 2 business days. Any questions by PHA staff should be directed to the PHA’s FMC Financial Analyst.
